2011

Hi Kathy -

I just wanted to give you some feedback about our trip to Israel- (July 3-17) on the Family Bar/Bat Mitzvah tour.
It was fantastic!! Our guide, Aron, was informative, punctual, and professional. He kept us on track without us feeling like we were rushed. We were all on the same schedule- all respectful, punctual and organised, so it was a great fit.
The tour itself was exactly what I wanted- whirlwind and complete. I feel I got a great sense of what it means to live in Israel, and we got to see all the tourist sights. Wonderfully organized.
The ceremony on top of Masada was just magnificent. It was not only beautiful, but the Rabbi they hired added pomp and ceremony to the event. He was very personable and included everyone present in the ceremony. It was very meaningful for everyone there.
The whole thing was a pleasure, and to be honest, not one thing went wrong- it ran like clockwork.
Thanks so much for helping us to arrange it.
Cindy

Hi Ehud,

just wanted to send a quick note to say that we had a great time touring Israel. Even though the itinerary was aggressive, and we would have liked to spend more time in places like Haifa and Tiberias, we realize that we can`t expect to see everything, in such a short time. Danny the guide, was personable and knowledgeable. Overall, a terrific trip.

Hi Kathy,
EXCELLENT TRIP EXCELLENT TRIP

Well, we are back and recovered from jet lag. I thought I would take a few minutes to give you some feedback on the trip.
First of all, we had a magnificent time. The family rated it a '10 out of 10', Zahavah loved her Bat Mitzvah and we all loved Israel and the tour. I want to raise some specific areas, mostly of praise, and pass on a few ideas.
1. You. You were terrific, responding quickly and efficiently, with good cheer and the right information. Thank you.
2. Our guide (Moshe) and driver (Nissan). Moshe was simply excellent. A very bright man with a wealth of knowledge and a fine narrative style, he was a pleasure, and organized things beautifully. Nissan was of good cheer and, not incidentally, one fine driver (which is useful on twisty, narrow roads).
3. The Ceremony. Was wonderful and moving. The Rabbi was a delight, striking the right balance that ensured we had the feeling of having a proper service and that each child felt special, while also capturing the spirit of adventure and fun. The party was lovely and the dinner at Decks a nice surprise. Our Bat Mitzvah felt very special.
That's all for now. If I think of more i will write again. Mostly I want to thank you for organizing such a wonderful trip for us, and for all your personal attention to us.
Many thanks,
Rex

Hi Kathy,
BEST TRIP EVER

Just a short little note to tell you that our trip was better then you can ever imagine.... Starting from Ofer, our tour guide who was extremely nice and knowlegeable and funny and really went out of his way FOR ALL OF US.......

We all gave him a terrific tip much more than you suggested. We even gave him alot more showing him our appreciation.

The food was superb as well as the accomodations. We all got along very well and we keep in contact.

Would love to go again next year but this time not on a tour since we would like to spend time in difference places. The best way to go to Israel is definately the way we went. We all felt like Queens and Kings on this trip.

Thanks

Hi Kathy,
Great Trip

I just wanted to thank you personally and Peerless for living up to all my expectations. The trip was fantastic and exhausting as you predicted. Our bus mates were very nice. The entire country seemed to embrace us and this was very meaningful for all of us. I wished that we had more time to spend in Israel; given how hectic the pace was it would have been easy to stretch this trip over three or four weeks. Before I forget, I want to make a special mention of our tour guide Danny Tamuz. He really was the icing on the cake for us. I have never had a guide who was so patient, so knowledgeable and had such a "good soul." Just one example of what he did for us is that on our penultimate day in Israel, I related to him that we had spent what very little time we had to shop, looking for someone who could sell us a gold necklace with my daughter Leah's name written in Hebrew. On the last day of our trip, Danny called me aside and introduced me to a goldsmith who was able to produce the necklace and then deliver it to Danny before our bus took us to the airport to leave. My daugher and I were thrilled. If you have any chance to pass on my compliments about Danny Tamuz and the whole tour to Isram, Peerless, Dan Tours or whoever matters most please do so.

Best regards,

Marty Fogel

Margo Gillamn, Bar Mitzvah Tour

"We arrived in Israel at a time of great unrest yet while we were there our guide made us feel very comfortable.... Rachel (Dan Tours Israel), was only a phone call away if anyone wanted to check on their extended stay and she worked all hours of the day to make sure we were comfortable.

Thank you for the wonderful trip that you organized for myself and my family. It was certainly a memorable trip...The tour provided many surprises...I know that I have developed many friendships and memories through this tour that will last a lifetime. Thank you, for making my son's dream of having his Bar Mitzvah in Israel become a reality."

Michael Diamond, Bar Mitzvah Tour:

"We are still glowing from the fabulous trip you provided us in Israel...you exceeded our expectations in all respects...offering even more than the exciting itinerary you promised us.

As far as safety was concerned, I suspect we were safer than most of our friends in the Caribbean. We at no time felt uncomfortable or unsafe, and in fact we were more comfortable allowing our kids to roam in Israel than in most parts of Toronto. And being part of such a small group of tourists in Israel certainly had its benefits - no lines, access to all services as needed, better value...in some respects this was the best time to go!

We did learn something dramatic about our media-there was a small demonstration of a few people near the Western Wall - Israelis demonstrating against giving up the Temple Mount - perhaps 20 people, and one of those people got through the soldiers and was apprehended. A small incident, lasting a couple of seconds. We later saw the account on CNN, which left the impression that this little event had been a major altercation over a lengthy period of time with large numbers of people. It is not that they said that - but that was the impression one was left with - an impression that was entirely false! The media creates stories that need to sell, to attract and maintain attention, and in doing so they stretch the truth and manipulate our minds, perhaps intentionally."

The Feldmans, Bar Mitzvah Tour:

"The trip can best be described as perfect - we don't use the word lightly and it extends to all facets of the tour including our guide, bus driver, accommodations, food and, most certainly, the itinerary. It ranks as our best and most memorable family vacation.

The trip, however, was bittersweet with the knowledge that so many are refraining from traveling to Israel during the current "crisis" and the country is suffering the inevitable economic and emotional consequences. For those who are letting the political situation stop them, we can only say that not once in two weeks did we ever feel threatened or in danger. We hope others put their concerns in perspective and support the Jewish homeland during this difficult time. As was sagely observed, Israel has been encountering difficult times since 1948."
