Day 1: Sunday En Route
Meet at Pearson Airport, say farewell to friends who have come to say good-bye, board our wide-body jet for our flight to Prague.
Day 2: Monday Prague
Arrival at Prague international airport. Our representative will meet you, help you through customs and porters will load your bags on to our latest model super deluxe air conditioned tourist bus. Check in our deluxe hotel and after a short city tour transfer for our welcome dinner at Mareanu where we will enjoy a Folklore show. Back to the hotel for overnight
Day 3: Tuesday Prague
Morning tour of historical Prague. We tour the Radcany Castle, seat of the Bohemian kings and Roman Emperors, St. Vitus Cathedral and the vaulted halls of the Royal Palace. Here will have a special family activity combined with the sight seeing. Than to the Golden Lane to see Franze Kafka's house. We will pass the enchanting Charles Bridge. In the afternoon we spend half a day walking tour of Jewish Prague. We visit the AltNeu Schul, built in 1270, the Jewish Town Hall with its famous Hebrew letters and the ancient cemetery, and Jewish Museum dating back to the 15th century. Than walk along the cobblestone streets of the Old Town to the Gothic Town Hall and the incredible Astronomical clock, built in 1490. In the afternoon we will have a family activity program around the theme "Jewish Prague". Dinner cruise on the Waltava (Moldau). Overnight Prague
Day 4: Wednesday Czech country side
After breakfast we visit two very impressive castles outside Prague. The Konopisti, built in the 14th century hosts extra ordinary rich collections of artistic as well as arts and crafts articles covering the famous D'este Armoury of the Archduke and the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque periods as well as the modern period . This collection makes Konopisti one of the most interesting manors in Europe. We will spend time for lunch in a park near by. In The afternoon we visit Karlstein. This castle, is one of the most exceptional for its historical significance and it's robustness and architecture. It was built by the Czech and Roman King - Karel IV in 1348. He gave it the role of the treasury for the coronation insignia and the most valuable relics of the Holy Roman Empire. With an average wall thickness of 4 meters this castle could resist any attack. We will visit the tower the interior chambers and return to Prague for dinner at Letensky Zameek. Overnight Prague
Day 5: Thursday En route to Budapest, Hungary
Today after breakfast we bid farewell to Prague and we begin our journey to Budapest. Our first stop will be Brno where we will have tour of the Old Town dominated by the Speilberg Castle. We proceed to Machoca Canyon and visit the famous stalactite cave and tour its beautiful interior by boat. Continue towards Budapest where we will check into our deluxe hotel. After we check in and refresh transfer to Vadaspark restaurant for dinner and a folklore show. Overnight Intercontinental Budapest.
Day 6: Friday Budapest
After breakfast we begin our panoramic tour of the impressive House of Parliament and tour the medieval Castle district, the Fisherman's Bastion, colorful Heroes' Square and Gellert Hill with its magnificent panoramic view of the city. Continue to the Jewish quarter, the Jewish Museum with its wealth of Judaic treasures and the Dohany street Synagogue. Afternoon tour to the Danube Bend. At 14:00 transfer to the "Renaissance restaurant" for a sound and colors of the medieval times will be waiting for us at the Salomon Tower. We will have a welcome reception on top of the tower and will be treated to medieval cocktails and canapes. Than the Renaissance games begin... after the Tournament ends, each guest will be escorted to the restaurant by a knight to take part in a real medieval feast. In the late afternoon we visit Szentrendre a baroque settlement. It stands out for its narrow winding streets, small squares, Serbian and Greek Orthodox Churches, art collections, museum, souvenir shops, and cafes. A riverside walk makes it one of the most popular resorts. Dinner with Hungarian Folk show at Citadela. Overnight Budapest.
Day 7: Saturday The Hungarian country side - Puszta show
The Hungarian Great Plain better known as Puszta stretches from the river Danube to the country's eastern Border. Farming, horse breeding, cattle and sheep raising are a way of life here. After a 90 minute drive we begin at the city of Kecsjemet. We walk around the center and view its main attractions. We see examples of Hungarian Art Nouveau, the Town Hall and Cifrapaltoa (ornamental palace), the world famous Zoltan Kodaly Institute of Music Education, the Synagogue and the three Churches in the main square. We drive to Kinkunsag (Little Curnania) area, to see the famous Horse Shaw on a Tanya (farm). We will be welcomed with home made fruit brandy and pogacsa (scones). Before the program begins , we will have a chance to drive around the premises in carriages driven by horses. During the show, csikos (Hungarian cowboys) present their skills. The highlight is the gallop of the "Puszta" five-in-hand. We than have a chance to sit on the horses and visit the stables and the other parts of the farm. After the show we sit down at the Csadra (a typical Hungarian restaurant) and have a taste of some specialties of the Hungarian cuisine. During lunch we will be entertained by a Gipsy band. We drive back to Budapest for a dinner and Danube cruise and overnight at our deluxe hotel in Budapest.
Day 8: Sunday En route to Vienna, Austria
Today after breakfast we bid farewell to Budapest and Hungary. We cross the border and if time permits, we will stop is at Eisenstadt an Austrian town that lies in the center of an area called the "Seven Towns". We visit the Jewish Museum and continue to Bad Lutzmannsburg Spa Resort. There we will have some family fun time and than we proceed to Vienna, check in to our deluxe hotel and than transfer for dinner. Dinner is at a typical ,Viennese restaurant the Hanse. Overnight at hotel De France Vienna.
Day 9: Monday Vienna - Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony
This morning we celebrate our Bat/Bar Mitzvah. The celebration will take place in one of Vienna's Old Synagogues. We will start with the morning prayers and than each child will have an "Alia" and read a Torah portion. After the ceremony we begin a city site seeing tour. We drive along Ringsrasse with its magnificent buildings, such as the Museum of Natural History, the Hofburg the Parliament, the City Hall, the Burgtheatr, the University and the Votive Church. The highlight of to days tour is a visit of the showrooms of Schonbrunn Palace. This is the former residence of the Habsburg Royal family. On the way back we pass the Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of the Pronz Eurgen and pass by the Opera. Dinner at the Schreinberhaus Heurigen - a typical Viennese wine house. Overnight at our deluxe hotel in Vienna.
Day 10: Tuesday En Route to Italy through the Austrian country side
Today we leave Vienna. We drive to Graz at about 11:00. After a short visit to the town we proceed to Herberstein Castle built in 1290. We spend the rest of the day in and around the castle. We visit the animal park dating back to the 17th century. We walk through the enchanting gardens dating back to the 16th century. We participate in medieval family games. Dinner will be in a typical Austrian restaurant. Overnight at the deluxe Europa Graz.
Day 11: Wednesday On the way to Venice
After breakfast we leave Graz for Villach Spa Resort close to the Italian border. We will spend 4 hours of family fun place which considered to be one of the best spa's in Europe. We will play in the water park which is fed by the thermal springs. Those who wish will be able to register for health treatments. We drive to Venice where we will stay in a deluxe hotel out of town. Dinner will be at Il Patio restaurant. Overnight in our hotel near Venice
Day 12: Thursday Venice
After breakfast we spend a full day in Venice. We begin at the Jewish Ghetto with it's four Synagogues and the Ponte Delle Guglie. Continue to walk from the Ghetto to St. Mark Square through the Calle Nova - a beautiful walk through the masterpieces of Venice: the Chiesa dei Frari, Ponto di Rialto and the famous Calle Campielli. We arrive at Piazza San Marco, Basilica San Marco, Palazzo dei Dogi and the Ponte dei Sospiro. In the afternoon we depart by boat to the Murano and Burano Islands. We visit it's colorful ateliers and watch glass blowing. We proceed to Burano and visit the picturesque Island famous for its colored houses and its fisherman. We return to Venice by boat and before returning to our hotel we have dinner at Raspo de Lia. Overnight at our hotel near Venice.
Day 13: Friday Padova and Verona
Today we leave Venice for Padova known for its university and St. Anthony Cathedral. We proceed to Verona in which the famous story of Romeo and Juliette took place. The famous Verona Arena hosts every year the summer music festival. Towards the end of the day we will visit Gardaland where we will have another chance for family fun activities check into our hotel and. have dinner at the Calice in Verona. overnight at the West Garda hotel on Garda Lake.
Day 14: Saturday Milano
This is our last day in Europe. We visit the small town of Sermione located on the shore of Garda Lake, and proceed to Milano. This city is the commercial city of Italy. The afternoon will be free to complete our shopping and enjoy this magnificent city. Before dinner we will visit the Cathedral, and the Sporza Museum with it's impressive collection of musical instruments. Farewell dinner at Conte Camillo restaurant Overnight, hotel Dumo Milano.
After breakfast transfer to Milan airport for our return flight to North Amercia or continue on an extension.
NOTE: Because bookings are made many months prior to departure it may be necessary to make minor changes before the final itinerary is published.
